How to get through another day? I want to offer ways to cope during this challenging time. My hope is to provide you one simple skill or solution each day to help get through COVID-19.
When you think of comfort what comes to mind? As we are faced with restrictions, it is easy to get focused on what we don’t have or not having enough of something. In today’s exercise I want to encourage you to turn your focus on what brings you comfort. Then let’s practice refocusing our attention to help self-care to shift the fear into hope.
A few examples of practicing comfort: taking a bath, listening to music, reading a book, calling a loved one, having a cup of tea or coffee, practicing meditation or yoga, sitting in the sunlight. What ways are you finding comfort today?
